You seem to be wavering all over the place. You stated off by erting that the mind and brain are the very same thing. I took you exactly at your word. Finding that to be absurd, you conceded the mind and brain aren’t literally the same thing. I agreed, and pointed out that if they are not in fact the same, they must in fact be different (law of excluded middle). In which case the brain only ‘causes’ the mind, not that the brain ‘is’ the mind.
You didn’t like this either, and went back to your original claim, only this time erting that the mind ‘is’ the cortex, a more specific area of the brain. Once again I took you exactly at your word, and once again you object.
John, in philosophy we require that words mean what they mean, and do so consistently. That’s what rational argument requires. If you ever figure out what your position is, and are willing to state it consistently, let me know. Otherwise, please have the courtesy of warning people in advance that you have no intention of being consistent. That way rational people won’t waste their time or yours.
