The story you heard is actually from an essay that Ben Franklin wrote in Fench about the Indians. The title is "Remarks Concerning the Savages of North America". We recently red it in my English cl. I don't know of any net links. He was not the person that said that. It was offered by the commisioner of ia. The Indians graciously declined and instead offered to "make men of them [white sons]."
