: I am a college student trying to write a paper addressing Franklin's Autobiography as "representative of the American life (dream)." Things to consider are what Franklib considered his life to be, his ideas about a representative American life, and his purpose in presenting his life to readers. I am going in circles--I have no background information to work with and only the first 2 sections of his biography. Any information anyone can provide would be great. THanks... Hnw
You must be some filthy immigrant. Were you born in America? The American dream is a notion of financial and spiritual independence not available in other sub-standard countries. Franklin illustrates the dream by harnessing the powers of reason to excuse himself from stifling toils as his appreticeship to his brother, the responsibility of church, and procuring business investment using strictly the power in ones discourse.
Thye whole dam# thing is about the American dream. If you can't understand it, go back to your own filthy country, get the fu#k out of mine.
