In numerous places he says to imagine something in Christian theology you want to achieve, e.g., having the strength of will to love God. He says imagine what you would do and think if you did have love (not the feeling of being in love) with God. Act that way, i.e., put on one of Shakesphere's masks and perform the way you imagine. In sufficient time you will no longer be acting...it will be real.
