Please Read my whole post, it goes through a lot of discussion. =)
Hi, I thought I would post to show the world that not every r in the world is liberal. =) I've been conservative-minded ever since the day I walked this earth, though my views are very moderate (and will stay that way.) I think that Dixwell is paranoid, and somewhat bigoted, and whiny. (sorry Dixwell, I had to say that) Who cares about what Clinton did? It didn't affect the quality of his leadership... It affected his marriage with Hillary more than anyone else! BTW, do you *honestly* think that he is setting a bad example for America's youth??? No kid my age would respect a politician, over his dead body! (They would rather look to teen idol pop stars and movie celbs for advice, with the humble exception of me)
There have been a more imfamous scandals among past US Presidents, namely among the Democraps. I will first note President Kennedy, *evil* and the *the even more evil EviL EVIL EVIL Socialist/Communist/etc.* FDR... I must also admit that the Republicans don't have a clean slate either, which makes Dixwell Burnham's arguement even weaker. Dixwell, are you just complaining?
Next, I'm going to chastise the generally bigoted nature of these posts. Conservativism is not about refusing change for the sake of it. (That's what the Christian Right is for.) Conservativism is about making careful, concise, intelligent decisions that pose minimal financial and social risks to the nation.
Why do I say the posts are bigoted/insular? Just look at some of the complaints that I've seen... Try looking through someone else's shoes. There is nothing wrong with minorities, except their flamboyance, (a stereotype, not always true) which is a minor difference. Some of the nicest people that I know are , Black, Mexican, you name it. Yes, it annoys the hell out of me when someone who is .00000000004 % Native American goes around saying, "Native Pride," and then says, "since you are white, you must be evil and hateful, blah blah blah...." This arguement is utter hypocrite garbage. But nevertheless, it cannot be denyed that "we" (as in the people who slaughtered the native americans, though not so much in Canada) basically destroyed their race through indirect Genocide.
On the other end of the spectrum, who cares if Clinton doged the draft! (This arguement of mine is VERY opinionated) Quite frankly, if there were a draft now, I would dodge it in two seconds flat. War is for losers. It doesn't build character, it just gives macho jock (can someone say a football player with a D- average in fifth grade math in his senior year of high school/ bullies nerds / nothing else to live for / etc.) losers (who dropped out of high school) an identity. Every once in a while, there is a truly wonderful person who works his off, minimises casualties, and truly is a war hero. With the COMPLETE exception of the WWII and Civil War vets, I would go so far as to condone participation in a war. (ESPECIALLY Vietnam)
So, you are going to tell me, why are you posting on this board? Why are you starting controversy? Well, this is my reason. I'm tired of people who WANTED to be in a war criticizing others for dodging the draft. I know, I know, I might seem like a traitor to my country... America. I am probably taking my freedom for granted, which I admit IS horrible, but I am still a r. My point is that I'm trying to say that antisocial nerds (like me) who actually have an identity DON'T WANT THEIR DREAMS TORN APART because of a #$(*ing war. End of Complaints. Sorry for the profanity.
Last of all, I'd like to say that I am extremely disappointed that Forbes gave up on the election. I'm still one year too young too vote, but as soon as I get the chance, I'm going to pledge loyal support for economic conservative republican-esque canditates.... =) like Forbes. Looks like we are going to have a pretty GOREing president... =(
Please email me your comments on my post. I'd like to hear your feedback, and if possible, debate, or agree with you. I am aware that it is very opioniated, and even hypocritical, so please tell me your views.
Best Regards,
Timothy Beyer
