: You people really should read some history. The remark about Omaha Beach was uncalled for. Canada was in the Second World War two years before the US, did not wait for a Japanese attack to do it, and lost far more men proportionally. Clinton will walk. Democratic leaders are so enamored of power that they have no sense of shame in their irresponsible trashing of their Constitutional duties. : : Let me begin by saying that Clinton is a coward. He is a physical and moral coward. He does not understand the true meaning of duty and honor and country. Like too many of his generation he is consumed with self. : : But...if you think things are bad here, go North to Canada where mindless liberalism is a way of life. Do you know that Clinton is more popular in Canada (his popularity there is measured in the 90's) than in the U.S.? Canadian conservatives are more like the Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party; they have never met a social program they didn't like. Canadians are, for the most part, extremely bland and unobjectionable sorts...that's how liberalism can wear a people down. They have already given away large tracts of their land to idigenous populations, have established language policies guaranteed to sunder the country and have so much multi-culturalism, diversity and militant feminism in place that it must be an American liberal's version of Vahalla. Do you want to see the face of Canadian liberalism? Just turn on the ABC Evening News and there it is...in the person of Canadian Peter Jennings who, having made millions delivering his distorted version of the news to American viewers, has never seen fit to become one of us. : : If you need a boost in morale go see "Saving Private Ryan." Unlike Clinton and his fellow draft-dodgers, those guys hitting Omaha Beach didn't need Canada or its equivalent to escape their commitment to duty, honor and country. : : In short, hang in there. There are some good guys in the Party who will be making their run for the White House and Congress in 2000. Get behind the candidate of your choice now whether its Bush, Dole, Forbes, Quayle or whoever else enters the race. Give financial and moral support to the candidates who represent your views. Find their websites and send them an E-mail. And, if you have the misfortune to live in Machusetts, consider moving not north to Canada but to a more agreeable Southern state where the quality of political leadership improves with the weather once you cross the Potomac. : : Good luck.
