: I'm just starting literature of the 20's and need to research the time. A book called The People's History of the United States by Zinn came highly recommended and may help you. Get it from the library or by it used because it's rather expensive.
I think that the book might be too subversive for standard essay question content. if you want to learn about fitzgerald specifically in the twenties, why not read Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" The last quarter of the book is devoted almost entirely to FSF, and the book discusses the lit sceen in paris in the 20s.
