I follow you (I think)... could the sequence be this?:
1.Nobles regard selves & conclude: we are good
2.Nobles regard commoners & conclude: they are bad
3.Commoners regard nobles (NOT selves) & conclude: they are not good, ergo they are evil
4.Commoners regard selves & conclude: we are not nobles, ergo not evil, ergo the opposite of evil, ergo good
Steps 1 and 3 are different (modes?) of defining and evaluating. Nobles take themselves as (datum?) for the definition of "good." Commoners don't take themselves as such, i.e. commoners don't first say "we are", they say "you aren't." And they say this out of resentment.
... Heather, I think Nietzche would think you're pretty cool because you hash things out for yourself, rather than crying "Help!" You are Uberchick, the (insert Nietzschean metaphor for "inspiration") to your sorry sisters.
