: Item 1:The difference between the Old Man being part of the Sea or living within it, that is, small boat, fishing sustenance close form shore, villages, etc. v. Ahab and teh mercantile whaling fleets relying on mes of men and muscle?
Item 2: The sea was the Old Man's lifeline while ahab lost his lifeline and will to live beyond revenge to Leviathan - the Old Man was attempting to redeem himself from the sea
etc.
Any help to you?
