I would just like to totally agree with King Useless. Poor Salinger. He just wants to be left alone, but we wont let him be alone. And in a sense, he never will be alone with so many adoring fans out there. But as fans, shouldn't it be our to atleast respect his wish to be alone?

Which brings me to my point. I don't know how many of you out there have a copy of 22 stories. I have never seen this book, but have heard much of it. From what I hear, he never wanted those stories out in the public, and they are now.

I guess this brings up an interesting crossroad. As a dedicated fan, wouldn't you want one of the only copies of his uncollected short stories? any fan would, but a true Salinger fan would probably not read them out of respect. I was faced with this problem when I saw this book being sold on ebay for like 400 dollars. anyways, just wanted to know what anyone else felt about this,
