: At the moment I am writing an essay comparing different studies in childhood and adolescence in literature focusing on the main theme of loss of innocence and the different components of a childhood study.
: In order to do so though I need plenty of examples of novels which are studies in childhood focusing on the whole concept of seeing the world through a child eyes and how this helps us as the audience to understand the book's themes and how it works as a literary style.
: The only novels I can think of with similar themes and ideas are Lord of the flies, To kill a mockingbird, Great expectations, Cider with rosie and obviously Catcher in the Rye.
: If anyone could suggest any others it would be appreciated and if anyone had any thoughts on the subject I would be interested to see their opinions.
