I disagree w/ Travis concerning "Catch-22" being a novel that could fit the theme of "loss of innocence". Its theme is of the hopelessness of war, much along the same lines as Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms" or Remarque's "All Quiet on the Western Front". I would recommend Burgess's "A Clockwork Orange". There is a lot of interesting ytical possibilities in such a deep and rather dark novel. It may or may not suite your study. Good luck.
