: : hey all. if anyone plans on being in toronto any time soon, make it a point to stop by fionn mac cool's irish pub/restaurant, on yonge street, close to the esperanza. not only is it named after one of ireland's greatest heroes and one of H.C.Earwicker's many personas, but the food is terrific. if you're there on a weekend, you've got to try the traditional irish breakfast, served sat. & sun. 'til 4 p.m., i think. the guinness steak is quite yummy, as well. but don't bother trying to talk about the wake with anyone there. when i told the waitress that her place of employment was named after one of the greatest characters in the greatest book of all time, she looked at me like i was crazy and, eyeing up m guinness, said, "you're not driving, are you?" good food, though. fare thee well. :
