Im a student as well so i dont know how helpful this would be but the death of the priest is definately a large symbol.Then there is the apple tree (very adam and eve) and all that un-tamed shrubs around it with the bicycle pump underneath,the way i see it,the bicycle represents industrialism,therefore suggested that the industrial revolution lead to a decline in religion in Ireland
