I have written some notes which may be of istance:
-Frank is the opposite of her father(antithesis)
-Eveline is trapped in a routine i.e she is bullied by her boss and a part of her wants to escape
-Her Father takes her for granted, spends her wages on alcohol and often becomes violent when drunk(this was common in Ireland at the time)
-Frank is brave and well-travelled and represents freedom but also danger of the unknown to Eveline as does the sea
She wants to stay loyal to her mother as she asked her to stay with her father
-Completly cut off from family.
Eveline doesn't really love Frank but wants, if only for a minute, the chance to escape her mundane existance.
