: cont'd regarding King James...." Among his many other faults, he preferred young boys to adult women. His activities in that regard have been recorded in numerous books and public records; so much so that there is no room for debate on the subject. King James I enjoyed killing animals. After killing and animal he would literally roll about in its blood. Some historians claim that he practiced bestiality while the animal lay dying. While King of Scotland in 1591, he supervised the of poor wretches caught up in the witch-hunt trials of Scotland. Eventually, in 1625 James was run out of England and succeeded by his son, Charles I. James ascended the English throne in 1603 and wasted no time in ordering a new edition of the bible in order to deny the common people the marginal notes and thus the real meaning of many biblical accounts. Why did the doctrines espoused in the marginal notes strike terror into the hearts of kings and their servants in the church and precipitate one religious war after another? James declared the Calvin's bible 'seditious' and made its possession a felony. The King James Bible was, and is for all practical purposes, a gov't publication." This info. comes from The American Horse. They publish a booklet w/ various info. several times a year. It's depressing, if true, knowing this is the book I have been taught all about God with. I don't know what to think if it's true will anyone in the church ever admit it? I feel compelled now to research the history of King James. Does anyone have any info. to back any of this up with? This booklet I received says the Calvin bible is back on the market for the 1st time in 400 yrs. weighs 6 lbs. and sells for over $100.!! Supposedly only one small publisher sells this bible.
