Don't you think it would be good if it were a stationary definition? The problem is the media spent the late 90's telling us about the Generation "of 20 something" people. Coupland saw himself as Generation X because he was born after the Baby Boom, but there was no definition of what that was. Truth is, there still isn't. The Baby Boom ended in the 50s, but some definitions place the start of Generation X at 1970. So what IS someone born in say 1964?

I would suggest that around 1976 may be a reasonable date for the end of Generation X, because by then birth rates were on the rise again.
