With this email I don't want to give my
opinion about wether or not determinism is true,
but rather give a explanation of what I think will
be the case if it is true.
Most times people don't go far enough concerning
determinism, that is: they don't realise that it
not only regulates the way things happen, but also
the way we reflect and think about the world. If
everything, and this is what determinism implies,
that happens, only happens in a strictly determined
following-up of certain events, that means that also
our thinking and our philosophy are determined.
So, this way the question how we should react or
reflect upon our world if this would be
arranged in a deterministic way, is just silly. We
will react only in one possible way and to my
opinion without any room for a free will whatsoever.
But we shouldn't laugh at people who argue for free
will. They have to. It isn't up to them wether or
not they do it, i.e. it was determined!
