Alright, I read this book last summer, but here goes. THe future appears to be one which is dreary where there are no beliefs or convictions, just emotions handed out by the superficial society in which the people live in. There is a serious lack of the individual having their own thoughts. The people seem to be happier with their t.v.s (which seem controling because they don't tell the truth) than talking with each other. Montag himself finally came to the conclusion that he didn't know his wife anymore, that he didn't love her. So there would be a majority with no ideas of their own, just following the corruption of society. But there are those few (in which Montag would join) who would rise up. Another theme would be the "Phoniex Rising Theme." (the phoniex died, but through the flame it was reborn, cycle) Although the city was in ruin, its inhabitants at their inevitable demise, there would be those people who would act upon their own convictions, rise up, rebuild society, therefore a new world full of value and integrity would be reborn.
Hope that makes sense and helps somewhat. I'm using this novel for my final in English, we're writing an essay. Good luck ok? No problem helping cuz I loved the book.
Later!
