The following is the text of a message I sent out earlier today regarding the manual recounting effort currently underway in some counties in Florida. I have very deep concerns and am slowly becoming outraged over the fact that a handfull of Democrats in Florida seem to be dictating the results of the entire Presidential election. I firmly believe that we can not allow this manual recounting to continue without some level of recourse WITHIN the state of Florida. I would hate to see a tit-for-tat effort spill over into other states as I truly believe this would bastardize the entire election system.

I am writing this letter to:
Florida’s Supervisors of Elections for each County
Individuals within the Division of Elections for the Florida Dept. of State
Governor of the State of Florida, Jeb Bush
National ociation of the Secretaries of State
Elected officials of my home state, Washington
Various news organizations in Florida & U.S.
This letter is to voice my deep concern with what is going on in Palm Beach & Volusia Counties in Florida. I believe that what the elected officials are doing there could jeopardize the security and integrity of our Constitution and the standing of the United States of America in the eyes of the World.
What these officials are attempting to do is overturn the election in the State of Florida by unfairly increasing the influence of one county towards the loser in this election. I contend that the manual recounting effort that is currently underway in Palm Beach Country is heavily biased towards Vice President Gore since he has received a plurality of the votes in that county. This belief is backed up by the fact that in the recount by machine, Gore led Bush by almost a 2:1 margin. This is nearly the same margin obtained by the increase in votes in the sample recount (33:14). This leads me to believe that the errors in counting by the machine are balanced on either side.
Because of this, I believe that if this manual recounting process were implemented in other counties, especially those that favored George W. Bush, we could similarly increase his margins.
It is therefore my strong belief that either:
a) the manual recount should terminate immediately, or
b) the manual recount should be applied the entire state of Florida to be fair to both sides.
If the rules are going to change and the conditions and methods for how we count ballots change, we must make sure they are fair to everyone involved and without bias to one presidential candidate or the other.
We must stop this farce of manual recount and declare a victor once all absentee ballots are in.
