Salvation comes by the grace of God, in my opinion.
There are those who will testify to good acts as
the path to salvation; however, it is the other way
around... Salvation leads to a relationship with
Christ, and from that relationship stem the good
works.

Catholocism is the oldest church because it is the
original church from when the apostles were sent
to teach and spread Christianity. The division into
denominations is courtesy of man and man's inability
to compromise. People break away from their church
and start their own denominaion for when they cannot
find one that, in their opinion, suits them.

In general, they are all Christian, and all share the
fundamental belief that Christ is Lord and Savior.
