"Clarence is a spectator gnome who watches the games of both sports and life. Named for the guardian angel in the movie classic "It's a Wonderful Life," Clarence has his mouth closed so that he may be a better listener. His coin says "Games" and he likes to sit on your television set when you watch a game, whether it's the season opener or the play-off. But Clarence is also small enough to be wherever he's needed to watch over those you love, especially when you can't be there. He likes to drop in on patients in the hospital, and he can stay long after visiting hours are over. When you need a friend but you don't want a conversation, Clarence is there for you. Can you hear it? It's the silvery sound of a Christmas bell. Some say that every time a bell rings, an angel receives his wings. Although little Clarence was named for a guardian angel, when he was introduced in January of 1993 he had no wings. But over the last two years many Collectors have written to tell me their stories of Clarence, who helped them in both times of joy and times of sadness. He has performed so many good deeds that he has earned his wings - they are a Christmas present to him from all Collectors. Thank you, Clarence, for being a friend."Artist: Tom Clark
